Heartland Senior Services is preparing for its
14th Annual Variety Show,

“HSS Friend Ship”

(A cruise ship theme)

August 15 & 17

Ames
City
Auditorium.

Variety Show Director Mark Forbis (middle) discusses upcoming show with show veteran Ken Larson (of Abbott and Costello fame) and show newcomer Kitty Fisher.

Auditions will be held
from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 14 and Monday, April 28 at HSS, 205 S. Walnut, Ames
  • The Variety Show Committee encourages new performers from all Story County communities, as well as veterans from past shows, to bring their potential acts to the audition and visit about timing, costumes, props, and fine tuning.
  • The show participants must be at least 60 years of age by the show date as Heartland’s Senior Show has become a joyful rite of passage on the continuum of “successful aging”.
  • The acts should relate in some way to the cruise ship theme; i. e., ports of calls, ship activities, vacations, etc.
