Volunteers

Volunteer service is absolutely essential, vital, and integral to the whole Heartland mission.
In the most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2009, 794 recorded volunteers gave 23,815 hours of service to Heartland and Heartland clients.

The most needed volunteers now are Friendly Visitors and home-delivered meal volunteers throughout the county.

By sharing hobbies, skills and talents, you can be part of the successful team of Heartland Volunteers.  There are opportunities in most of the major service areas:  Adult Day Center, Activities, Nutrition, and Outreach.

Currently, home-delivered meals and Friendly Visitor volunteers are most needed.  To inquire about these or other opportunities, call Marilyn Johnson, HSS Volunteer Coordinator, 233-2906.

Please look at the photos below, the Hands for Heartland brochureVolunteer Spotlight, and 2007 Year in Review, to see how volunteers vitalize Heartland's programs.

Also, see the photos from the 2006 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner and the 2007 Volunteer Recognition Party.
